| Wow...where can you begin to describe life? Life goes on and on and on and God is in that, speaking and influencing. Over the past two and a half years that we have been on staff at this church, God has been doing something. Don't ask me to put definition to that something, but it definitely is a HUGE something. When I try to articulate it, what comes out is merely a shadow of what the reality of it is. We are "seeing in part" what is happening, but my spirit is aware of the fact that we really are not seeing the vast part of what God is building in us. It is foundational; it is deep. It feels as though we have gone backwards, yet I know that in the Kingdom, going backwards usually means you are going so much further forward than if I was just easily going forward. Because what I perceive "forward" to be is not at all what a Kingdom mind would see "forward" as being.
All I know is that I have come to a place where I am comfortable and even learning to thrive within the many limitations that I find imposed upon my life in this season. It has been a painful process to get me there. I have tried to rebel, and I have tried to resist. But God in his insatiability to see me free and whole has persisted to help me understand that I can live from the inside-out, and I don't have to live from the outside-in. That is super, super freeing to me. Circumstances, places, and people no longer have to dictate me. Instead, my steady relationship with the Holy Spirit inside of me will dictate me. And my joy.
So, for now, here I am. And, you know what? I am joyful, happy, to be here. Contentment is mine to live in every day. So I will.

| Hey guys...here are some more pics of our lives. We are having so much fun being parents. Lily is now eating solids and sitting up. She will be six months old next week! We can't believe how fast time flies! Benjie and I are so excited to be here in Durango working with the church that we are. God is on the move here, as I am sure that He is in your area of the world as well. We are pressing in to what God has for us here in this place. We don't want to miss a thing.
Here is Daddy and Lily just today in our office at the church.
Here is Mom and Lily about a month ago.
Here is Lily and her Nana having fun with sunglasses.
This is Lily's first experience with solid food. Rice cereal....mmmmmm!
Lily wearing her cousin David's hat.
Bathtime!!! We miss you all. Blessings. |

| Ok...it's definitely high time for another post. It's been awhile. I will just give a few highlights of the past three months. 1. Benjie and I just accepted the new position of "Worship Pastors" at our church, so we are now bringing leadership to all the worship at the church as well as the college and career ministry. 2. Lily will be turning four months old this Sunday...and she is quite the chunk...she is filling out nicely. We realized that she has two butts, because when we were giving her a bath, we looked, and she has her real butt, and then a roll directly underneath it that looks just the same size as her butt! 3. God has been doing a "cleaning" of our hearts. It has been humbling and good. We have been far too judgemental and have been doing a lot of repenting. Here are a few pictures of Lily. These were probably taken about three weeks to a month ago...but I don't have any super recent pictures....I will try to get those soon!

Her first bath (a couple of weeks ago.) Can you believe that Lily is already five weeks old??!! Time flies, and this past month has been such a joy and a challenge as Benjie and I learn how to be parents and get the opportunity to pour our love and lives into another. Merry Christmas to all of you. We miss you so much. We are looking forward to a visit from Laura Butterworth next week! Yay! |
